Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix and Spiced Nuts
Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix
- 4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
Yield: 2 1/2 Tbsp. mix.
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp. water
- 2 cans (12 ounces each) salted, mixed nuts
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp. homemade pumpkin pie spice
In a mixing bowl, beat egg white until frothy. Add water; beat until stiff peaks form. Stir in nuts and toss to coat. Combine sugar and spice; stir into nut mixture. Spread nuts evenly on a greased 15x10x1 inch baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees F for 25-30 minutes stirring occasionally. Cool on waxed paper.
