Have you tried simply increasing the amount of coffee that you put in? I know this is obvious and simple, but sometimes a simple solution is all that is needed.

Have you given it a vinegar bath? Run a full pot of straight white plain vinegar (you can use half water, but it sounds like you need a good cleaning), then run at least 2 more cycles with clean water. If you take the vinegar and place into a container to cool, you can then place in a toilet or two that might need some cleaning. Sounds like you might have a calcium buildup from the water, that should work just fine!

A "cup" in the measure of the coffee world is only 6 oz., maybe you're using an 8 oz. calculation for a cup.

I googled "problem of percolator making weak coffee" as the search term, and got a lot of sites, the first of which deals with Farberware percolators and weak coffee. Check it out. There were several possible causes and solutions.
