When my kids were small I use to make a recipe for Apple Dumplings that are made with canned refrigerated biscuits. I would love to have this recipe since I lost it.

I have this recipe using crescant rolls.

Apple Dumplings

2 cans crescent rolls
2 appples, peeled and sliced into 8 pieces each, (I used Granny Smith)
2 sticks butter, melted
1 1/2 cups sugar (Splenda works well--use same amount)
1 t. vanilla
1 (12oz) can Mountain Dew
1 cup chopped pecans
2 T sugar cnnamon mixture
(Mix 1 cup sugar, and 1T cinnamon--reserve remainder for other uses)

Preheat oven 350 degrees
Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll, sprinklig a little of the
sugar and cinnamon before rolling up. Line the dumplngs in a 13x9
inch*(see below) pan. In a saucepan, heat the butter and sugar together
until the sugar is melted and mixture is bubbly. Remove from heat and
add Mt Dew and vanlla. Pour over crescent rolls and sprinkle with
remaining 2 T cinn and sugar mixture. Sprinkle nuts over top and bake uncovered
approximately 45 minutes.
Wonderful warm with ice cream.
