Drying a Mattress Cover |
|
|
I took off my mattress cover this morning to wash it. I threw it in the regular laundry like most people. I didn't keep the washing directions. It has a protective plastic lining. My question being, can I put it in the dryer? I don't have heat control so it is always hot air, is it safe or will it melt?

RE: Drying a Mattress Cover
Hang it over the shower curtain rod if you cant hang it outside. Just make sure the top of the rod is not dusty.
RE: Drying a Mattress Cover
I wouldnt chance putting in in the dryer. I would hang it to dry too.
RE: Drying a Mattress Cover
Using the dryer may not melt the plastic but will shorten its life. After a few dryings the plastic may start cracking. Its best to hang the matress cover somewhere or drape it over a railing to dry naturally.
