Canned Pork Sausage

Using the canned pork you get from Pantry


  • 1 can of pork
  • 1/2 box of Zatarain's New Orleans Style Tuna Cake Mix
  • Ad
  • 1 Tbsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. of Italian Seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp. of sage seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp of hot salt
  • 1/2 tsp of Morton's nature's seasons seasoning blend
  • 4 Tbsp. of bacon grease or shortening


Open and drain the water off of the canned pork, but leave the fat. Break up the pork with a fork. Mix in the seasonings as directed, or add to suit your taste. Mix in the 1/2 package of the 5.75 ounce bag of Zatarains Tuna cake mix

Mix all together. Heat skillet with shortening, or bacon grease. Make up the mixture into small patties and fry in hot grease slowly, turn over when they start to brown.

Serve with Homemade biscuits.
