I'm wondering if anyone knows of a pattern to make your own nursing pillow (like a Boppy pillow). My four month old is starting to sit up by herself but needs a bit of help. The Boppy worked great with my older daughter for this purpose but it's way past repair and I'm thinking she won't want to share with her baby sister (my oldest still sleeps with HER Boppy).

Any suggestions or advice would be great!

Thanks in advance!
Rebekah from Michigan

I sell boppy patterns on ebay. My ebay account is threegirlsshop. These patterns come in the mail and can be reused over and over again. They also come with full instructions on how to sew them. Very simple sewing even for the beginner sewer!

If you don't have time to sew them, I also can make them on request for a fee.

Simplicity has a pattern for a cover for a boppy, but I think one could make the pillow itself from the pattern for the cover.

I bought a pattern for a boppy and it had pockets. I liked it and made 1 for a friend. I can't find the pattern and have looked all over for another one. Does anybody know about the pattern? I don't remember where I bought it or what brand it was.

Thanks! I used the one that jeggie posted and it worked great! I used an old clean shower curtain and then made a couple of covers from old receiving blankets since my daugher has reflux and spits up alot! This works wonderfully!

When my grandson was born, I made one for my daughter. I cut a semi circle. I put a tape measure around my waist and laid out the tape and then made a semi circle about 9-10 inches wide from end to end of the tape. Then I drew the inside of the tape and had it go in about 3 inches from end to end of the tape. That gave me a tube ...............semi circle. I then cut out the pattern and sewed it together, left room to stuff it. I put elastic on the smaller side of the pillow. That way it would fit around your waste. Since my daugter is a size 6 and I am a "plus" size person, I made the elastic about 20-22 inches long. It went around her waist and she could feed her son. My daughter had a C-section and it did not hurt her stomach to feed the baby. Hope this helps. If not, email me and I can made another pattern and mail to you.
