Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup margarine
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. hot water
- 2 cups oatmeal
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup nuts (chopped)
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Directions
Drop onto sprayed cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes. Might have to add a little more flour.

Ingredients
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 boxes instant vanilla pudding
- 3 cups chocolate chips
- 6 cups quick oatmeal
- 4 eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions
Blend sugars, butter and shortening. Add eggs. Add rest of ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips last. Bake at 375 degrees F until light brown, about 8 minutes. Our favorite!

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies III
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup nuts or coconut (opt.)(I prefer without)
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup oatmeal
Directions
Cream shortening and sugars together. Add eggs and beat thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together and add creamed mixture. Mix well. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-15 minutes.

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies IV
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 cup quick cooking oats
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix (3oz.)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts, opt.
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the oats, flour, pudding mix, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks.
