What's going on in Chimney Rock, NC? Track hoes and bulldoziers are tearing up the foot of the mountain and due to all the rain. It's literally washing down stream! How can this be stopped? I don't know who to contact, the EPA? How can they develop a national landmark? What about historical society? HELP!

what about the local parks dept. is it a state, national or county park? i'd call the local newspapers and tv stations, they're always interested in these types of stories. also the local forestry commission, cooperative extension or local college which has a forestry or botanical or horticulture or natural studies/or earth science program. even your local state legislature's office, county official or city mayor's office. raise a stink, get attention, get heard. i support you and thank you to your attention to preserving our dwindling natural resources. let me know if i can help further. a fellow carolinian

Hi,
It looks like a lot of development is going on in the area. Here's a link on the flooding:

It might be good to email The Digital Courier and they may be able to help you more.
