Giant Zucchini
Giant Zucchini
I just wanted to show everyone the giant zucchini I grew this year. This is the first year I have grown them and this is a whopper. It is 14 1/2 inches long. I'm sure it probably would have gotten bigger but my dear husband pulled it off first.

Someone gave me 3 large Zucchinis and I think they night have been bigger. I shredded them on a Kitchen Aid food processor and from the 3 zucchinis I got about 10 pints bags. Not bad, huh?

Could you please send a couple down here, my family loves them. Yum! Congratulations on the size. I'm sure your DH knows better now.

Well, it's a beauty, and made me laugh. Years back I planted zuchs in my vegie garden,The brochure said to plant them int two's, they were tiny little plants. So I did, thinking they looked so sweet. I have to tell you those plants grew into MONSTERS! They took over the garden and I had zuchs coming out my ears. People dreaded coming to visit as I would ply them with zuchs to take home.
Eventually it got too much, and they were rooted out and thrown on the compost heap, and they STILL kept growing and producing, It was like something out of a scary movie!

For some reason zucchini grow to enormous size in Northern Canada. 18 to 20 inches is normal, so I was amazed to discover they looked like cucumbers farther south.
