I no longer color my hair, which saves us some money. But, when I did color my hair, I would buy my supplies at a beauty supply store. Much cheaper than the drug store brands.
One day at the beauty supply store, I saw a gallon jug of shampoo on sale. I bought one and saw that the directions called for diluting it with water. The one jug has lasted me a long time (over a year) and I still have a lot left. I would recommend diluting all shampoo and conditioner down a bit and it will last a very long time.
This is a great idea, but if you want to purchase perms and/or hair color you must be a licensed hair dresser for these items, at least here in Ohio where I live.

I am glad your beauty supply stores are cheap. I tried ours one time and it was a lot higher. Even hair brushes are higher than Roses and WalMart!

Good message. I do the same thing, buy several of what I want on sale. Use less than the instructions dictate. We decide on what, where, and when to spend our money.

You can also get deals on beauty products at Beauty Supply Stores - besides stuff for hair, I picked up 2 jars of eye cream on the sale table as well as other facial products - cheaper than drugstore prices.
It's getting close to Halloween - so remember that you can pick up colored hairspray for costumes - or even to color old wigs - at beauty supply places for less than elsewhere. Lots of colors to choose from and it washes out easily.
