How can I replace the plastic light panels in my ceiling without using basic cracked or white plastic panels? I have six 2 by 2 panels framed by wood. I've seen some clouds or iron designs, but they're usually for larger frames and way expensive.

Could you buy translucent or transparent vinyl shower curtains and staple panels cut from them to the wooden frames of your panels? Or use fabric that would let the light shine through?
