Waldorf Popovers

A nice little salad in a pastry, easy to make, everyone loves them

Ingredients:

  • 2 packages of puff pastry (about 6-8 come in a pkg)
  • 1 pint (2 cups) of deli made or home made waldorf salad*
*Feel free to try any type of salad as a filling.

Directions:

Cook the pastry cups according to package directions. Let cool completely.

Lift up the tops on the pastry cups leaving the inside empty. Spoon in the waldorf salad filling each pastry cup. Place the completed pastry cups on a nice platter and serve cold.

Delicious, and easy.

Tip: Be sure that the filling is not too wet because you do not want to to make the cooked pastry soggy.

Note:This recipe can be done with any of your favorite salads. Chicken salad or fruit salad work beautifully.

Enjoy!
