Use a Spin Dryer to Cut Tumble Dryer Time

Sometimes using a clothes line isn't convenient. When you have to use a dryer, consider buying a spin dryer. They run at 3300 RPM (vs. 500 RPM that your typical top loading washer spins at) and use of a spin dryer will cut your drying time in half. Spin dryers are more common in Europe.

If you look carefully, you can find a spin dryer online for $150 - $500 each. They last for years, and can wring an extra liter of water (and soap!) out of your laundry. This is easier on your clothes, as the spinning does not affect them, but reducing the tumbling time will keep them looking newer longer (fewer pills, etc.)

We have used them for about 50 years . and are looking for a store selling them in canada. Our first one was made in Scotland and the second one by Scharph in Germany which now needs new rubber mounts(6). using spinner then ordinary dryers we save over half the drying energy""""

The Laundry Alternative has good spin dryers, unfortunately, they have the worst customer service I've ever seen. They will charge your credit card immediately when you order, but not ship for months. (which by the way, is illegal!) Then, if you have any issue at all, they totally ignore you. If you have the money to gamble with, go for it. But if you need a machine quickly and/or don't have the money to spare....beware. I have read elsewhere that they've never even shipped the machine at all. Just taken the money.

My partner paid for a spindryer from the LAUNDRY ALTERNATIVE a month ago,we have not received it!
Before you race to order from the Laundry Alternative you may want to do a search on this company, free of charge, on the Better Buisness Bureau website.

The link above is for a $500 dryer! We just ordered the perfect spin dryer for only $120. We also use the Wonder Wash hand powered washer from the same manufacturer.

Its an extractor and some laundromats still have them. I think its a great idea! When in london I had use of a washer dreyer combo. It was one machine flip a switch and it went from washer to dreyer. I wish we had them here a great space saver.
