If at some time in the future they become more affordable, reliable and more easily serviced, I would certainly consider buying one. Post By Donna (Guest Post) (07/13/2006) If you're thinking of purchasing a Hybrid so save money, don't. The higher cost of the Hybrid car will never be recouped in the gas savings. IMHO, hybrid cars are a status symbol. You'd be better off purchasing something with a diesel engine if you want better gas mileage.
