Leave Birthday Card Envelopes Blank
In my extended family whenever we go to birthday parties, we don't write the name of the person it's for. That way when the party is for someone in the immediate family, you can use the envelopes for mailing whatever.

My husband & I have done that for years. We don't seal the envelopes either and then after we open our cards, I take the unused envelopes and put in my desk drawer for later use.
