Southwest Seasoning Mix Recipe

I have some Pampered Chef recipes I'd like to try but don't have any of their seasonings. One such recipe that I'd like to try calls for Southwest Seasoning Mix. Does anyone have a seasoning recipe that is comparable to theirs?

What makes grocery store rotisserie chickens taste good?

How do they get the rotisserie chickens from the grocery store to be so flavorful? Are they injected with something? If anyone has any information on this I would sure like to know about it.

Thanks,
Joan from Chesterfield, MI

Dry Garlic Spareribs

This recipe is from my friend who lives in Canada, and is her specialty. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds spareribs**

Sauce:

  • 1-1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups water
  • 4 to 5 garlic cloves
  • 4-1/2 Tbsp. light soy sauce
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp. dry mustard

Directions:

Bring a large pot of water to boil. Cut the ribs apart. Add the spareribs to the boiling water, cover, and allow to simmer for 30 minutes, or until tender. Remove the spareribs from the pot, and slice the meat between the bones. If you like, set aside the pork broth to use in another recipe. Clean out the pot. Add the sauce ingredients to the pot and bring to a boil. Add the spareribs, bring back to a boil, and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Serves 4 to 6

**This recipe is adaptable. You can use 2 to 4 pounds of spareribs and adjust the other ingredients accordingly, or to taste.
