My cat's name is Rascal. He just turned 1 year old. He is a tabby, we rescued him in June 2009. Rascal loves his favorite toy; a simple string tied to the end of a cardboard dowel!
Please take care he does not chew and eat the string! Cats are like little children and you need to pet proof your home. Strings, feathers from a cat toy, small objects as buttons, pins, needles et. can be a deadly hazard to kitty.
With the holiday season approaching tinsel is another no no, breakable balls, even Christmas lights. Don't forget if you put chemicals in the tree's water stand your cat may drink the water.
If your cat eats "stuff" he is not supposed to he may wind up dead, or need surgery to remove this. Speak with your vet about these potential problems.

Please spay him as well. There are many groups which will offer low cost clinics for this. Unfortunately too many cats and dogs are killed every year as there is no home, or shelter available to care for them. Actually every animal deserves a good home, attention, and love. To live in a shelter is better than the streets, but how sad for the animal. If you can, keep the cat inside, verses letting it roam all over. He'll live a lot longer that way.
