Cut onions in halves crosswise. Put in greased casserole dish. Combine other ingredients and pour over onions. Bake at 350 degrees F, covered, for 1 hour. Nice compliment for pork roast, ham, and turkey. Baste during cooking.
Sounds delicious, but I'm not sure exactkt what you mean by "flat onions". Do you simply mean regular onions that have a flat side rather than being rounded? Or is it more like a green onion or the big green onions sold in latin food stores, or what?
