We had sharpie permanent marker on corion counter tops. Write over the sharpie with dry erase marker and wipe off. it really does work!

I got some permanent marker ink on my laminate desktop -- probably made from Formica (just wipe to clean). I tried Fantastik and CLR but those didn't work. I figure Formica should be non-porous so these are only surface marks. So I decided to try rubbing it off with a Staedtler pencil eraser -- and that worked like a charm!

Believe it or not, today my 1 yr old wrote all over my walls with Sharpie. I tried EVERYTHING I could think of. From Murphy's oil soap, bleach, everything imaginable. Well, when my kids were going outside I sprayed them with OFF and said to myself..hey why not...IT GOT IT OFF in seconds!! Even off of sharpie marks that had been on things for months!!! Try it!!! Its awesome.

I know this sounds strange but it works, I tried it last week. Write over the sharpie marks with a dry erase maker and then just rub off both will come off. this works for dry erase boards also. If someone accidently writes on the board with a sharpie simply write over what they have written using a dry erase marker and erase.Give it a try!

For getting out the sharpie, try Greased Lightening, works for me.
I use it for almost everything.

I don't knoe what your counter is made out of , but sometimes plain rubbing alcohol works. Try that first. Fingernail polish remover works sometimes too.
