Silk Flowers for Spring

With Spring coming, plant silk flowers instead of real flowers. They last longer and are far more inexpensive and less time consuming to take care of. They require no watering or pruning and rabbits don't like to eat them!

This certainly works well. A couple of years ago, I bought gerber daisies for $8 each (needed 3 for each of 2 pots = $48-Ouch, but they were very pretty). After the original blooms died, they would not bloom again but the green foliage was very pretty. So I bought silk gerber stems and put them in the pots with the lush foliage and had great flowers all season. I saw a repairman taking a close look at the flowers. LOL

I used silk flowers outside and they lasted quite a while. I went to garage sales or yard sales and bought them. It was amazing how fast my flowers bloomed overnight. LOL
