This fragrant tea rose is planted in a whiskey barrel that sits on my deck in the backyard; the fragrance is sweet smelling like a beautiful dusting powder and the brilliance of the colors will take your breath away to look at them.

The whiskey barrel is made from treated lumber and the tea rose has been in the barrel for about 3 years. And...I water the tea rose with tea and used tea leaves.

~Beautiful! Is it a wooden barrel? If yes, what are you doing to protect the wood from rot?
