Coating on Computer Monitor Scratched

My computer screen has a film on it that has gotten scratched or scuffed over time. The glass is fine, it is the thin film covering that is coming off. Maybe it is an anti-glare coating? I have tried to remove it with acetone, ammonia, Goof Off, and gas. Help. Nothing works.
