Inexpensive Wide Shoes

Does anyone know where I can find VERY WIDE shoes (sneakers) CHEAP? I have developed numerous foot problems and the men's wide no longer accommodate my feet.

Kohl's a retail chain sells New Balance 4E width online at about 2/3rd the price of other retailers brick and mortar.

Have you tried a shoe stretcher? Some stores have a mini-store at the front with shoe repair, shoe laces, shoe accessories, and sometimes they sell shoe stretchers. These are most often used to stretch the width of the shoe.

I buy Dr. Scholls shoes at Walmart. The most comfy ones are very basic with an elastic gore on each side, or the newer desigh has an elastic gore on one side and a zipper on the other. I wear them for work, around the house, everywhere. It is misery to wear anything else now!! They run between $25-$30. They are the only shoes I've been able to find that are really comfortable from the first time you put them on and they last a long while, too.

I will put my vote in for Payless too. I have a medical problem that turned my feet into something that looks more like a loaf pan, so I can feel for you. I can always find shoes to fit at Payless.

I recently found some x-wide shoes at SAS shoe store. They're some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn & made in the U.S., as well. Not cheap, but excellent quality!!! I, too, asked about where to go for x-wide shoes, I was sure glad I'd asked!!

I was looking for a cheap pair of running shoes just to wear around the house... I found a decent selection at WalMart.

However, I strongly recommend name brand running shoes as they are far more comfortable.... New Balance makes a great shoe and they do so in wide!! Been wearing them for many years and they are very comfortable! They typically retail for $59.95 but I always find them on sale for $35 - 40 bucks.... Well made and they last for years!

Regards,
Jim

You said inexpensive, right? Payless Shoe Source is the best place. My daighter has wide feet and she has always shopped there.

Could you indicate which men's shoes had worked up until now?

Thanks.

Check your local thrift stores for shoes too. Our local store always has a lot of shoes to choose from.

We have used the big & tall stores and although the prices aren't cheap they are 'very wide' and seem to last us longer than the wides we have purchased at all those other shops.

PS. check out
www.qboutlet.com

This is an outlet store that carries wide shoes.
Possibly "qb" stands for "quick buy". I have used them before. No complaints.

Check out ebay if you know the size and brand. This is important, becaue Nike's run small and I bet they aren't the only ones to do that.

Have you tried Avenue shoes? They have a website
Avenue.com and some stores carry shoes in wide and extra-wide sizes.
