Cheddar Cheese Ball
- 12 oz. cream cheese (softened)
- 16 oz. sharp or x-sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
- 1 Tbsp. horseradish (minced)
- 2 Tbsp. dried basil, parsley or caraway seeds
- 2 Tbsp. beer
Cream all ingredients together. Line a small rounded bowl with plastic wrap. Spoon cheese mixture into bowl cover and press to form ball. Chill for at least 3 hours in refrigerator.
Take out of bowl unwrap and place on plater serve with crackers or garlic toast.
Optional: Roll into chopped nuts before serving.
Source: I made this every year for the holidays. But now my friends want me to make one for every get together. You can even make this 2 days ahead.
