Organizing Store Frequent Shopper Cards

Many stores offer "frequent shopper" cards that look like credit cards. These were always in my wallet, but they were hard to find and keep organized. I took all the cards I use, punched a hole in the corner of each one, then put them all on a keyring. I have a larger key ring on my purse shoulder strap with a trigger snap that I use for my shopping card ring, work keys, and car key rings. Everything is easy to find and I don't misplace my car keys any more.

I am concerned that in a crowded situation, someone could unsnap the clips and take off with your cards.

I have found that most stores can look up your card by phone number. At first I didn't want to give out my number but I decided to give out my home number (not mobile, ever, ever) so they can look up my card and I no longer have to carry them around.

Also, this allows my husband to use them if he stops at the store since he would never in a million years remeber the card. I can even get my gas discount from my kroger grocery card keying my phone number in at the pump.
