Buy extra school supplies now, as they start to go on clearance. By Christmas time, new markers, crayons, cute pens, notebooks and folders will make great stocking stuffers and small gifts. They will be needed by then, too.
I've done this for the 16 kids in my Bible class. I was able to get each about 5 dollars plus of school goodies for just nickels each. It is something they will need and with 16 it's hard to afford a lot. But the lunch sacks are full now.
