I was thinking about doing the same thing the other day, and I thought about using this chocolate that I found called almond bark. It comes in white and brown chocolate, you melt it in the microwave or on stove top and then you put it on wax paper where it dries into any shape you make it, so if you are able to make them into a bunny ear shape and stick it on the cupcake it might work.

For those who are making cupcakes decorated like Easter bunnies, you can use the sticks from packages of gum to make edible ears. Just cut to shape like bunny ears and stick them into the frosting. I've seen the pastel colored gum sticks, and if you can find the striped colored sticks, they are quite festive and colorful.

On the Food Network Sandra Lee made bunny ears by carefully cutting chocolate chip cookies with a serrated knife. The instructions are on the website.

what about those candy wedges, you know the orange ones? Flatten them w/a rolling pin & that should make a nice ear!

Try cutting a marshmallow in half, squeeze it into an oval shape and sprinkle pink decorators candy on the sticky part. Use frosting to attach them to the cupcake.

I was thinking of cutting fruit leather or roll ups to look like your bunny ears, then frost with vanilla frosting and then roll in flaked coconut to make it more realistic looking. Happy Easter Everyone!

You could make them whimsical and use gummy worms cut in half....or just make a small batch of sugar cookies and shape them like ears.......or maybe candy corn, you can usually find them in easter colors now...or if they will be eaten soon you could use baby carrots......adds a little nutrition.....your idea sounds fun.....

What about using Marzipan? You could mold it into any shape you want, and you could use food coloring to make the ears a certain color, if you want the color. Marzipan is delicious, and it would be something so much out of the ordinary that everyone would think of it as a really special treat!

You can roll out gundrops flat by using a little extra sugar and then rolling them out on a sugar cutting board but I think fruit roll-ups or fruit leather is the best way to go. Or a licorice shoestring doubled up to form a sort of ear shape and both ends stuck into the cupcake .

Try using the sticks from the gum packages. I've seen them in pastel colors as well as in the stripe colors. I'm sure they can be easily cut in the shape of a rabbit ear,. Have fun!

I made bunny ears with large marshmallows. Cut the marshmallow in half, across the middle, cutting the tube in half. Make sure the flat ends are at each end intact. This will cause the marshmallow to pinch, creating an elongated oval, with pointy ends. Pull the marshmallow apart revealing the sticky inside, and dip that side in pink sugar crystals. You can then attach it to the cupcake with a toothpick or just secure it in the icing. Edible ears!

Try cutting them from fruit rollups or fruit by the foot.
