Banana Spider

This banana spider has been on our back deck for about two weeks now. He is absolutely beautiful with his brilliant colors. I have been photographing him at different times during the day since we found him. We noticed that he makes a new web every other day.

Great pictures of your spider, but I think it's a "She". The males are usually less than a fourth the size of the more colorful females. The Black and Yellow Argiope, or Yellow Garden Spider, is a common inhabitant of home gardens throughout most of the US.

Fortunately they aren't particularly dangerous to healthy individuals.

Excuse me but aren't these lil guys deadly? Any spider I see here in tn is gonna be a dead one. Don't do spiders!

I like to touch the web and make the spider do his thing. He will start shaking the web. I think this is the way he catches his prey.
