I would like to know to naturally straighten my dry, REALLY frizzy, thin, and REALLY restless hair. I already know about using milk but it didn't work out for me too well.

Put milk in spray bottle - spritz spray hair thoroughly with milk.
Comb, set and let dry in hair for about 20 minutes.
shower normally! :D

I have natural curly hair and have straightened it many times with a large, round brush and a straightening iron. My hair is very long and thick so it takes at least an hour or more to do. It also seems very damaging to my hair.
What product do you recommend I use to permanently straighten it? Or at least a few months.

If your hair is in poor condition, I don't recommend you do anything to it. Work on improving the condition first, using a good conditioner, Queen Helene's Cholestrol is good and cheap. You can also use Olive oil....damaging your hair more, is the last thing you want to do.

Hi I am am hair stylist. if you want it straight you can do a few things one you can us a Chi Flat Iron they are about $200 or less. ust the 1in it si the best one they make. if you want to chemically straighten your hair you can actually use a Perm now the way this works is you will need to apply the perm to your air and comb it straight as you can. let the perm sit for the amount of time it says to on the box. now once you rinse the perm waving lotion out you will blot the hair dry and then combit straight again now apply the nutrilizer to the hair work it all the way threw comb it straight after 5 min you will rince your hair one more time. find a nutrilizing conditioner after you rinse out the neutralizer after the 5 min you will use a nutrilizing conditioner keeping the hair as straight as you can rinse and comb back straight let dry and you will have straight hair. to keep down any frizz use a neutralizing shampoo and conditioner it will keep your cuticals closed giving you shinier hair. and stop using pantine it has too much wax in it that stuff kills hair .

Oh I did the mayo thing once only used too much
my hair was slicked flat for months and it was too
slick!!!
I use a dab or two of conditioner after I get out of the shower and leave in all day, helps keep frizz
away.

I RECENTLY BOUGHT 4 BOTTLES OF PANTENE PRO V RELAXED & NATURAL SHAMPOO ( BROWN BOTTLE ) FOR WOMEN OF COLOR .WITH AMINO PROTEINS.
I AM NOT A BLACK PERSON BUT THE STORE HAD A 75 % SALE ON VARIOUS SHAMPOOS AND CONDITIONERS. I GOT THEM ALL FOR FREE AS I HAD SEVERAL $1.00 COUPONS . I USED A SMALL AMOUNT WHEN I WASHED MY HAIR AND IT CAME OUT LIMP AND STRAIGHT ,A STYLE I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH ,AND AM NOW LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY TO GIVE THEM TO . I WONDER IF THIS MIGHT BE OF HELP FOR YOU .

I think the milk stuff is just for fine and thinning hair.So do try forgetmenotaroma's trick.
I've heard of that trick before. If I remember correctly,I found the trick on www.free-beauty-tips.com

Hi--I have almost identical hair to what you describe. I tried the older straightening products, with my hair combed out on boards; I have tried every straightening serum on the market--no luck. What has worked the very best for me have been the "Japanese" straightening treatments--kept my hair straight or nearly so for about 8 months, soft, no frizzies. UNFORTUNATELY, they are VERY expensive (I paid $300, and in some more "upscale" markets they can be $700-1000!). A fairly good middle ground for me has been the use of a good silk serum (i.e. Biosilk or a similar product) for smoothing, and then an ionic/ceramic hair dryer with a round brush and GOOD ceramic ionic straightening iron. Unfortunately, they are not permanent (and humidity or sweat will ruin most of my efforts!). But for an evening out they work great. Unfortunately, hair like this isn't easy to straighten and there are really no "quick fixes", or even terribly cheap ones! Good luck!!

I once got a perm that was suppose to be body but it wasn't so I ended up with way too much curl. I was so upset that I cried. My mom's friend told us to use Kraft Real Mayonaise to relax the curls. We bought a small jar, put it on my head, then covered it with a warm towel. I sat under the hair dryer for about 20 - 30 minutes I believe. It did the job & I was a happy camper. :o))

The company I represent, has a leave in hair conditioner/detangler. You can learn more about his product in the Forget-Me-Not Aromas HAIR CARE category (Website Link listed below).

I use straightening serum, a round brush and a blow dryer. V05 makes a good one and so does Tigi Bedhead Control freak.
