What Breed is My Dog?
What breed is my dog? Could it be a Staffordshire or Pit Bull? Do staffs have red noses?

Yes, your dog is a pitbull, but don't let that scare you. She won't be mean unless you raise her that way. I have a 7 year old female pitbull and she is like a big baby. She still thinks she's a lap dog. She is very protective though and if anyone knocks at my door she goes crazy and sounds like she would attack. Little do they know that if they came in she would lick them to death!

Pits and staff are basically the same thing. Just one is recognized in the AKC and one isn't. Looks like a good old pit to me! Love the red-noses.

Could be a Pit mix.

I thought Pits were outlawed in your country. Maybe it's just England where they're not wanted. Refresh my memory!

Looks like a pit bull. I'm not sure if staffordshires have red noses or not but I know pits mostly do. I have a pit that looks similar to that and it looks to be a brendal pit with maybe a little bit of razor edge pit in it. I wouldn't know if it was mixed with anything else.

Gosh, he's beautiful! Yes, Staffordshire Terriers can have red noses, they are either black or self-colored according to their coat. He is one or the other, pit bull or Staffy. As much as I love the pit bull and want to say that's what he is, I really think he looks more Staffordshire bull Terrier because of the shape of his muzzle. He's great, whatever he is!
