Fudge Brownies

I like this recipe because it's inexpensive, easy and the brownies are moist and fudgy. Plus, clean up is a snap. You dirty one pan, 1 baking dish and 1 mixing spoon. ;-) The secret here is not to over bake, unless you prefer a cake like brownie. I use an 8 by 8 inch glass baking dish.

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 oz unsweetened Baker's chocolate
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Melt margarine and chocolate together over low heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.

Add all other ingredients except eggs. Mix to blend. Add eggs and beat well by hand.

Pour into 8 by 8 inch (or close) glass baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes (depending on oven). Cool, cut and enjoy.
