Applesauce Brownies

These are very easy to make and very unique. The applesauce helps make them extra moist. Very good brownies!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 cups applesauce
Topping:
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • nuts (optional)

Directions:

Cream together margarine, sugar and cocoa. Add eggs and salt to creamed mixture. Add flour, cinnamon, and baking soda alternately with applesauce. Pour into greased and floured sheet pan. Before baking, sprinkle with topping of sugar, cinnamon, chips and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.

Cooking Time: 30 Minutes
