If you've ever gone to the DMV to trade in your car tag and forgot to take a screwdriver (as I have), a penny will do the trick. Just align it with the slot and turn (clockwise.)

Editor's Note: Here's a funny little memory tip that helps me which way to turn a screw. It's easy to remember: "Lefty Loosey, Righty Tighty". Turn to the left (counterclockwise) to loosen, the right (clockwise) to tighten.
