Hamburger Stroganoff

This is fairly easy and it taste so much better than Hamburger Helper!

Ingredients:

  • 1-1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • elbow macaroni or rotini
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • butter
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions:

Brown ground beef and drain. Cook noodles according to package directions. Open desired amount of cream of mushroom soup, usually 2 cans per 1-1 1/2 lbs. of ground beef. Put in a 1/2 cup of sour cream, if desired. Mix soup and sour cream with the ground beef after it has drained and still warm. Mix well. Drain noodles and add desired amounts of salt and pepper to taste. Pour hamburger mixture over noodles and fold until mixed well. Serve as soon as possible.

Hint: Serve with toasted Italian bread with garlic butter.
