Repairing a Hollow Veneer Cabinet Door

How do I repair a hollow veneer cabinet door? In sections the veneer has been sanded through some of the layers. This is a raised panel, hollow core kitchen cabinet door, painting isn't an option.

You could fill it in with spackle. Make sure it is dry and then you can buy veneer by the roll to repair it. I think directions come with the veneer as to how to apply it. The veneer is carried in any home improvement store.
