Angel (German Shorthaired Pointer/Dalmation)

This is our dog Angel by name and disposition. She is a rescued dog. She was found wandering along the highway in late winter 7 years ago and was put in care of a local animal rescue organization (New Mexico Animal Friends). She was fostered by a friend of ours, who recommended that we adopt her since he knew we were considering getting a dog.

She was named Angel by the rescue organization staff, and the name suits her well. She's lively, but sweet and gentle with everyone, even our two young children. We are guessing that she is a German Shorthaired Pointer and Dalmation cross. Her coloring and ear shape is Dalmation, but her disposition (very birdy! and very cuddly) and physical appearance are otherwise very Pointer-ish.

Hi, this is my boy 'Oscar'. He looks just like the other Oscar on this thread. We live in the UK but couldn't resist sending in a photo of him, he is really loving and loyal full of energy and loves to forage around in the woods. He is now 18months old and we rescued him from my daughter, who couldn't cope after buying him as a gift to her husband Christmas before last, he was great as a puppy but in the cage most of the time because she has a one year old. Being a pup all he wanted to do was play but was a bit boisterous and started a great game of pulling my grandson around by his baby grow and chewing up all his toys, so back in the cage he went, very sad but I stepped in to adopt him after she tried to take Oscar to the park with the buggy, he bit through his lead and ran away, came back eventually but he never went there again, he has too much energy to burn after being caged all day so no one could blame him.

She was told that he was a GSP but my doubts of him being crossed were answered after reading this thread, we would not be without him and of course spend most of our time walking him, it certainly keeps us fit. Everyone we meet comments on how handsome he is, we love him to bits.

Hi, this is Oscar. What a stark resemblance to your Angel. We live in the UK and couldn't resist sending in a picture of him, he is so handsom and so many people stop to admire him. Isn't it funny how many people think they know all about Dalmatians? I always let them say there bit, then tell them he isn't a Dalmatian. They look at me as if I'm mad. If they have had them before they can surely see that they are a breed of their own and their markings are more defined.

Oscar has more fleck than spots so more of the GSP breed in him and character to match. He is a fantastic companion, so loyal and loving. At 18 months he still has lots of fun in him. As I write he has counter surfed and grabbed himself a nice juicy crab leg!

Hello! Angel looks exactly like our Finley! She is an 8yr old German Short Hair/Dalmation cross. When we saw the picture of Angel, we thought it was Finley! Could they be related?! This mix is just the best. Finley is such a great dog!

Just to mix things up, here is our (allegedly) Dalmation X Cocker Spaniel! Absolute nutter; and a brilliant athlete.
