I am doing a project in science and need to know exactly how dryer sheets work. Like their static cling and how protons and neutrons work within them.

This is an old post I see, but my ex husband used to be an appliance repairman. They say dryer sheets are not good at all for your dryer. I don't know how to describe it but was told it causes build up and causes problems. Better stick with liquids if you are a fabric softner person. Or if like me you don't use anything at all. I think its a waste.

I never use these, and have never had a problem. They also make your towels less absorbent.
