I split a few drops of red hair coloring when I dyed my hair. I cleaned it up but you can still see the faint outlines. How do I get this off my white melamine vanity? Can I paint it? Has anyone every had this problem?

Mr clean eraser will do it. I now use the generic cheap ones sold at dollar general stores. They work just as well.

As a blonde that is "dyeing" for intelligence, I feel your pain. I have struggled for a long time with this. My bathtub looks like we filmed a horror movie. What I found worked for me and 3 other false redheads was a bleach gel pen.

I think you might have sucess with Mr Clean Eraser they are magic, and I have removed hair dye from the white painted shelf in my bathroom with one.

I haven't tried it on hair dye (only grape juice) but the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser did it for my counter top.

Have you tried letting liquid chlorine bleach sit on the spot for a few minutes? That's worked for me for berry stains. Don't leave it on there any longer than necessary, so there's no damage. Good luck!
