Christmas Candy Decorations
Christmas Candy Decorations
Decorations made from everyday items to look like Christmas Candy.

Approximate Time: 30 minutes

Supplies

  • big styrofoam disk
  • different sizes of styrofoam balls
  • paper towel tube
  • cellophane wrap
  • twist ties
  • ribbon

Instructions

Basically these are objects wrapped in cellophane to look like Christmas Candy. They can be used to decorate a wreath or in a centerpiece.

For the big pieces of candy, cut the cellophane to size. You will have to double or triple wrap because you will be able to see the styrofoam if you don't, just use your own judgement to how much you want. Put the disk in middle of wrap and wrap it up then twist on both ends with twist ties and tie ribbon around. For the suckers, do the same. With the little pieces of candy, cut the paper towel roll to the size you want then cut the wrap and lay tube down on wrap and roll it up in the wrap. Tie off and put ribbon on.

It's also cute to use tea light candles instead of styrofoam. Wrap them up the same way and they make a useable, inexpensive package decoration. You can make round candies with ties at both sides or tape a popsicle stick on the back of one to make a tea-light pop.
