Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 unbeaten eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 1 - 2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Directions

Sift the flour and salt together. In separate bowl cream butter, margarine, sugars, eggs & vanilla. Combine baking soda & water. Add to butter mixture. Add chocolate chips, nuts, and sifted mixture. Drop by 1/2 tsp onto greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes at 350F.

Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 pkg. chocolate chips

Directions

Beat shortening and margarine or butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed about 30 seconds or until softened. Add about 1/2 of the flour, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, baking soda and vanilla to shortening mixture. Beat until combined. Beat or stir in remaining flour; add chocolate chips.

Drop dough from a rounded teaspoon 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 375 degree F. oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are golden. Makes about 48 cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Ingredients

  • 3 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 1/3 cups instant pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 4 tsp. vanilla
  • 6 cups (scant) flour
  • 2 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Directions

Blend margarine, Crisco, sugar, and eggs. Add rest of ingredients. Bake 8 minutes at 350 degrees F. Don't overbake!

1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup margerine
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda

Preheat oven to 375. Lightly grease pans.
Cream margarine with sugars, mix in eggs and vanilla. In another container, combine flour, salt and soda. Add to sugar/egg mixture slowly and mix well. Add chocolate chips (1 to 2 cups) and drop by spoonful onto cookie sheet. Leave room, they'll spread. Bake for 8-11 mins., until the edges are brown. Cool on the pan for 1 min., then transfer to a cooling rack.
