Unbaked Peanut Butter Bars

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 packages butterscotch chips (6 oz. size)
  • 3/4 cup coconut
  • 1 package mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions

Melt butter, peanut butter and butterscotch chips. Cool and add coconut, marshmallows and nuts. Stir well. Put into an 11x14 inch pan. Cool. Makes 20 bars.

Guys,
This sounds delicious and I'm eager to make it but please note that there is currently a recall on peanut butter because of salmonella poisoning. In other words, it's best to wait until we get the government go-ahead to buy peanut butter again. Keep in mind that many products like cookies, pastries and cereal may contain peanut butter so check the labels.

Since salmonella is killed when heated to 165F degrees, no bake recipes are especially at risk.

Hopefully you are aware there is a recall on peanut butter due to Salmonella Typhimurium Outbreak.

You might want to check the peanut butter you are using at this FDA website:
