What is a Scavenger?

Any organism which feeds on dead plants and/or animals and decaying organic matter. An opportunist who searches for or takes advantage of useful dead organic material. Usually described as a member of the decomposer community.

this doesnt really give me ENough INFO.

Editor's Note: I usually think of a scavenger as an animal, like crows, buzzards, coyotes that eat already killed prey. It can also be a person that uses up what others throw away, such as a trash picker.
