How do I get the awful smell out of a new rubber or plastic bath mat? I washed it and left it on the porch for three weeks and still can't stand the bad smell if I put it in the bathtub.

To remove odors from plastics, soak in a 50/50 solution of Vinegar (Clear) and water. Let soak for 24 hours, rinse....the vinegar odor should only be around for about 5 minutes...
