We just bought a new Kenmore side by side refrigerator (model: 106.45429801, SN: S03243205) and it works great except the ice dispenser sounds like an earthquake when it is used. Is this normal?
This is definitely normal! Even the ice dispensers for the soda's you purchase at places like Subway or convenience stores where you dispense the ice for your drink yourself makes oodles of noise. It probably just seems like an earthquake of noise in your quiet kitchen. ;-)

All the ice dispenser I have heard are loud. I think yours is normal.
