"Grows in a Minute" Vines

Has anyone heard of a vine called "Grows in a Minute"? I knew a person in Macon GA that had it years ago and wish I had gotten more information. As I recall, she had it trailing up fishing line from the ground to the edge of a deck.

She said it grew 12" to 18" a day. I think when it bloomed it had small purple (maybe white) flowers. Looked a bit like a minature morning glory bloom.

Any help would be welcomed!

Morning glories, while having pretty flowers, will overtake your garden 'in a minute.' My advice is to avoid it like the plague.

if it is kudzu i do believe that is illegal. it grows around the east coast and is killing most of the vegetation along the roadways etc. there is no way to kill it accept dig it up and the roots are thick.

If it is morning glory...You DON'T WANT IT!!! They're currently choking out all of my other flowers! :) Aeromama

It might be Cypress Vine or also called Cardinal Vine. It has small red blooms that resemble a minature morning glory. The leaves are a lacy like fern type.

Kudzu grows very fast. Is that what you are thinking of?
I don't know the size of the flowers it provides.
