Rasta, I live in Iowa, zone 5 and I have to bring mine in. I brought mine in last year and it just stayed green, no flowers, and then about March when we had snow deep outside, a bloom sprang up, just gave me hope for spring. So, it depends on what zone you are in whether they would survive. Here they are an annual.

I live in Southeast Tennessee and mine come back every year. When the first frost comes I put a thin layer of mulch over them. I mark where they are. Then when the danger of frost is gone in the spring I uncover them and most times I can see a small amount of green meaning they are waking up from their winters nap.
