The only ingredient not pictured is green onion. The medium hot salsa gave it a nice flavor. I like dumping the ingredients in the crock pot before heading to work, setting the heat to low, adding chopped Kielbasa and onion when I get home, giving it another hour or so to heat, then enjoying my "home made" chili with crackers and a beer.

Editor's Note: Here are the ingredients listed:

  • 3 cans kidney, pinto or red beans
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 small jar picante sauce or to taste
  • 1 pkg. Polish Kielbasa
  • 1 bunch green onions (scallions)

What a wonderful picture. That is my kind of cooking, mostly cans and crockpot. Love it. But I didn't realize it could look so picturesque (sp?) at the same time. Thanks for sharing. patsAZ

What a great and simple way to make chili while you work. Sounds tasty. Nice picture too.
