Shoe Shopping Strategy - Trace Your Child's Feet

So that I don't miss out on kids' shoe sales when I am out shopping without my daughter I periodically trace her feet on a piece of paper, cut it out and tuck it in my purse. Then if I see shoes on sale I just measure up the soles.

This is a great idea....or do what I do....just measure your child's foot from end of heel to end of longest toe and then take a tape measure with!

I would not recommend this as there is much more to shoe sizing than length. You also have to check the arch support, the height of the back of the shoe so it does not hit the bone on the ankle.

Take the child to the shoe store to try on. Feet are delicate and important.
