Is it possiable that is what your sweet looking furry family member had? What an adorable looking photo & what talent your son has! I am so sorry for your loss but know that he suffers no more. My niece has a pug who also has convulsions - the vet said it was typical of pugs. I had a pomeranian who died with convulsions - they thought it was a tumor on his pituitary gland. God bless you!
