I love spinach dip, but can't stand the water chestnuts. Should I add more spinach or less of something to make up for not putting those in?

I've been making this for years. In fact, just made it a week ago for a bridal shower. I do add the water chestnuts and a couple of diced green onions. I always buy a couple of loaves of unsliced French bread, cut them into bite-size chunks, and that's what we use to scoop up the dip. I serve the dip in a hollowed out round bread. Yummmm!!

Robin
this is our fav dip, I wring out the water of frozen
spinach with paper towels and make a day ahead

and i put into those large round breads i cut out
the top and make little wedges with it
and the water chestnuts give it the best crunch...

I don't always put in the chestnuts but I always add garlic either powdered or granulated.

What does this dip go best with? (chips, crackers, etc.)
